The above 8 events in Ashtavadhanam are being traditionally performed: Dr. Medasani Mohan performs “Nysthakshiri and Nishidhakshari in a beautiful way that adds glitter to the dictionaries of Telugu and Sanskrit.  His presence of mind and sense of humour exhibited in answering to the Rithvicks’s questions in respect of “Samasya Puranam and Dattapadi pleases every one, a child to a scholar.

These are the words given by a Rithvick to be composed in a poem to convey a message for the enlightenment of the students in discharging their duties.

Dr. Medasani Mohan composes the poem relating to ancient ethics, Ramayana and Mahabharatha aesthetically and also equally composes the verses on day to day social affairs.  Though the Rithvick “Aprasthutha Prasingi” interferes to divert his attention, some times in a defaming manner, the Avadhani Dr. Medasani Mohan replies him smilingly.  In one of the Avadhanas, one Rithvick posed a question, asking him to explain whether the word ‘Sani’ in his surname has any context of illegal affair with any ‘Sani’. He replied him spontaneously “My Relation with Sani is that Dorasani of poetic wisdom”.   By virtue of his immense retentive power, he could recite lakhs of Slokas and Poems right from the ancient books of Sanskrit poets Valmiki, Kalidasu etc to that of modern poets.  So far, he has performed more than six hundred Ashtavadhanams.  He created a new era in the history of Avadana by performing “Chathurgunitha” (Four Avadanas at a time), “Shathgunitha” (Six Avadanas at a time), “Dasagunitha” (Ten Avadanas at a time), “Shodasagunitha” (Sixteen Avadanas at a time).  So far, he has performed innumerable Sathavadanams.  In the year 1996 for the first time in the history of Telugu literature he performed Mahasahasravadanam with 1215 Rithvicks in Tirupati conducted jointly by Sri Venkateswara Rasagna Samkhya, Tirupati, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. In the said Avadhanam the Peetadhipathi  Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Sri Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyaru Swamy awarded Dr. Medasani Mohan a title of honour as “Sahasravadhana Bhrahma”. The Peethadhipathi of Parakala Mutt Mysore, Karnataka State has awarded  Dr. Medasani Mohan a title of honour “Mahasahasravadhana Sthapanachrya” in appreciation of his intellectual talent.

In the year 2007, a cultural organization “Rasamayee” Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh conducted “Apurva Pancha Sahasravadhanam” in Hyderabad.  The said Avadhanam was performed by Dr. Medasani Mohan during the period from 18.02.2007 to 20.03.2007 in the premises of Lalithakala Thoranam, Hyderabad. In this unprecedented literary feat, in reply to Rithvicks, he composed spontaneously 5184 verses.  The Jnanapeetha Awardee, Padmabhushan, Acharya Dr. C. Naraya Reddy, the Dadapalke Awardee, Padmabhushan Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Head of the Santha Biotech, Hyderabad, Padmabhushan Sri. K. Varaprasad Reddy and Dr. Geetha Reddy, Minister for Industries, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh over whelmed in pleasure jointly awarded Dr. Medasani Mohan a title of honour as “Apurva Pancha Sahasravadhana Sarvabhouma”.
